Poor stops put people off bus travel – report

Bus stops closest to me still have First logos despite First quitting the area in 2016.
in contrast Faresaver updated former First bus stops with smart new flags on its trunk routes a few years ago. Faresaver has also been much better at displaying printed information at bus stops than First ever were, including the most popular adult and child fares from each stop.
Elsewhere I’ve noticed new generic bus stop flags with what looks like a stock clip image bus logo taken from the Internet. I’m assuming these are Wiltshire Council owned.
Locally, bus shelters look shabby and unloved.
We have to remember that councils have had their budgets cut by c50% since 2008.
